Aims and Scope
Asian Journal of Business Environment (AJBE) is an open access and scholarly journal devoted to addressing pertinent and trending issues in Asian business environment. AJBE is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes quality research papers, including literature reviews and case studies. AJBE aims to provide unique opportunity to scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to bring together applied, theoretical, conceptual, and empirical knowledge and research in specific areas or issues that are relevant and important to contemporary as well as future business environment in Asia. AJBE publishes quarterly in English on the following months: January, April, July, and October.

Call for Paper
Types of Paper Submissions
Research Article: The research article should describe new and/or carefully investigated findings, and research methods should be provided in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. All regular research articles are peer-reviewed by a minimum of three referees.
Short Communication: A short communication is suitable for reporting the results of small investigations or giving details of new models, innovative methods, or techniques. The style of the main sections does not need to conform to those of full-length papers. Short communication articles are also peer-reviewed.
Review Articles: Submissions of literature reviews and perspectives covering topics of current interests are welcome and encouraged. Literature review manuscripts are also peer-reviewed.
Case Studies: Any case studies with specific and emerging phenomena are highly encouraged, and case studies are peer-reviewed.
Submit your manuscript and associated files in MS Word format using AJBE Online Submission, https://www.ajbe.or.kr/, or email email@example.com. Authors are encouraged to include tables and figures as part of the main file. All manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the AJBE submission guidelines and accompanied by a letter of attestation, which states, “The article has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere.”
Double-Blind Peer Review Policy
AJBE has adopted a double blind peer review policy, where both the referee and the author remain anonymous throughout the process. Please remove all identifying features from the main document itself, ensuring that Authors' identities are not revealed. However, this does not preclude Authors from citing their own previous works, although Authors must cite their works in a manner that does not make explicit their identity. All contributions will be initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the articles. The Editor-in-Chief's decision is final.
After publication of an article, the copyright of the article transfers and belongs to the Author(s).
Article Content Selection Policy
As the title of the Asian Journal of Business Environment indicates, the AJBE Editorial Board gives priority to the research areas of business environment in Asia. The content of the paper must include issues, factors, and/or activities directly associated with business environment in a specific country or countries in Asia.
Self-Citation Restriction Policy
The self-citation refers to when an author refers to the previous work written by him/her alone or in co-authorship and cites it. Self-cites are used to compare current results of the research with earlier findings when continuing to study the same subject. It seems that the only reasonable solution for the issues of self-plagiarism, research integrity, and originality is to limit the number of self-citations. AJBE Self-Citation Restriction Policy regulates that the self-citation level should not exceed 10% for an author, 20% for co-authors together, and 15% for AJBE. If the reference checker (software) finds that this rule has been broken, then the manuscript will be automatically rejected by the Desk Editor without further review.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
AJBE Editorial Board respects and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by accepting submissions only on the basis of research and scholarly merit and integrity without considering race, ethnicity, nationality, citizenship, gender, religion, or financial means.
Research Involving Human Participants or Animal Subjects
Any research that involves animal or human participants requires the author to ensure that the manuscript contains a statement that all procedures were performed in compliance with relevant laws and institutional guidelines and that the appropriate institutional committee(s) has approved them. Authors should include a statement in the manuscript that informed consent was obtained for experimentation with human subjects. The privacy rights of human subjects must always be observed.
AJBE and the Publisher apply the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) to the works published. This license was developed to facilitate open access – namely, free immediate access to and unrestricted reuse of original works of all types. Under this license, authors agree to make articles legally available for reuse, without permission or fees, for virtually any purpose. Anyone may copy, distribute, or reuse these articles, as long as the author and the original source are properly cited.
Article Processing and Submission Fee
There are no submission and processing charges for AJBE, whether the article is rejected, reviewed, or accepted. Please note that Editorial Board of AJBE will be very selective, accepting only the articles on the basis of scholarly merit, research significance, research integrity, and compliance with the journal style guidelines (APA).
